By Rusty,

We love to showcase the impressive projects that The Master's Lawn Care team has successfully executed. When it comes to handling projects from beginning to end, our team is nothing short of exceptional.

This client had always wanted to create some beautiful outdoor spaces at her home, and finally decided to take the plunge. She wanted to create spaces where her friends and family could enjoy at home instead of always leaving the house.

She wanted an outdoor space to accomplish 3 major functions in her backyard:

  • Create a unified flow between the 3 doors from the back of the home
  • Create an appealing entry from the driveway to the front door
  • Update the appeal of the home
  • Create a space to enjoy spending time in her backyard with her daughter

We installed matching pavers to create a beautiful walkway up to her home and in the backyard for a firepit area. Her friends will all want to be at her house now!

Great work, installation team! You have truly outdone yourselves with this project!

We would like to showcase the impressive projects that The Master's Lawn Care team has successfully executed. These guys are rockstars when it comes to managing projects from start to finish. Their exceptional results prove that they know what they're doing!

This client wanted to use pavers to widen their driveway and add a backyard paver patio to entertain with a path adjacent to their screened porch.

They wanted a backyard they could:

  • Enjoy spending time in
  • Entertain guests in
  • Be proud of

This project was an exciting opportunity to take on the challenge of renovating the back yard patio from dirt and stone to modern pavers.

Our team consulted with them to get a paver color they loved and contracted well - the traditional brick color - and then designed a kidney-bean shaped space with a widened driveway for parking their RV.

Fantastic job, landscape installation team! You guys made this project look AMAZING!

The Challenge:

The client had just moved into a beautiful new Nocatee home but was dissatisfied with the lack of privacy in her backyard, and the lack of curb appeal in the front. She felt uncomfortable sitting on her screened patio and having coffee without being on display from every direction due to the shape and layout of her lot. The client wanted to create a sense of seclusion and intimacy in her backyard without making it feel closed in or barren with just plain privacy hedges. She also wanted a tropical theme in the front yard with some Palms added into an appealing design.

The Solution:

The team recommended creating a backyard landscape that would provide the client with the privacy she needed while also enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of her backyard. They created a mix of shrubbery, trees, and flowering perennials with curvilinear beds, which not only provided privacy but also added beauty and interest to the backyard. The use of these plants helped to screen the view from neighboring yards and created a sense of intimacy in the backyard. The landscape design was carefully planned to ensure that it did not feel closed in or barren, and it was strategically placed in the most needed spaces to provide maximum privacy.

The front yard included 2 different types of palms and some other plants specifically designed in the clients’ appeal. Overall, the team provided a complete solution that met the client's privacy and curb appeal needs while also creating a useable and enjoyable space to entertain in.

Specs:

By Rusty,

This client called us because she did not like the small wooden deck that came with her house. She also wanted to have an open design with space for a hot tub in the future. She installed retractable screens and our team installed a beautiful paver patio with steps to reach her backyard. We used thin pavers to go over her patio inside the screen that matched the larger pavers on the exterior area to make the entire back patio come together into a beautiful space for entertaining. To top it off, we added landscape lights to keep it looking appealing and safe in the evening as well.

The Challenge:

The client was dissatisfied with the small wooden deck that came with her new house and wanted a more open patio design with space for a hot tub and fireplace in the future. Moreover, the client wanted a visually appealing and functional patio space that would enhance the backyard's overall appearance and make it more suitable for entertaining. There was also an existing screened porch that was separated and not flowing out into the deck space. The last challenge was that her access to the backyard was difficult due to a steep slope at the end of the stairs.

The Solution:

The team recommended thin overlay pavers to go over the patio inside the screen, which matched the larger pavers on the exterior, making the entire back patio come together as a cohesive space for entertaining. We also increased the size of the outdoor space by utilizing natural limestone boulders to raise the grade in the backyard and reduce the slope for a larger patio. To make the space more visually appealing, landscape lights were added to keep it looking appealing and safe in the evening. The client installed retractable screens to create a more open feel and enhance the space's functionality. Overall, the team provided a complete solution that met the client's aesthetic, functional, and practical requirements while also making the backyard more appealing and enjoyable to use.

Specs:

  • Pavers: Flagstone Traverstone in White Pewter
  • Retention and Seating Wall - Flagstone Stonegate 3-piece and Cap in Gray/Charcoal
  • NDS Deco Drain 2” and 3”
  • NDS Downspout extensions
  • Alliance Outdoor Lighting System

We created an outdoor living space they now use to safely entertain in their backyard that they love to spend time in and enjoy.

By Rusty,

Challenge:

The Brand new Oakmont Homeowner had seen a water feature in a Jacksonville landscape that he had fallen in love with and wanted to mimic it behind his new home. However, he had the additional desire of having an all-inclusive space for a hot tub, a natural gas fire pit, a herb garden, and he wanted it all to be pest and mosquito free.

The only way to accomplish that in a North Florida landscape is to cover it with a screen enclosure, meaning all of these desires had to fit within an allocated space, and also include grade changes to allow the waterfall to flow well.

Solution:

We designed an outdoor living space that weaved each of these features within a rectangular space in close proximity to the home so that it wasn’t too large of a screen enclosure. We also designed a change of grade to allow the water feature to flow and use of retaining walls to ensure the slope did not take space away from the hot tub or firepit patio.

First, we graded the backyard to ensure the backyard waterfall flowed well, and ran the natural gas, power and basic plumbing for all the features. We also poured the footer for the soon-to-come screen enclosure. We then built the paver spaces for the firepit and hot tub, along with a seating wall to retain the top of the waterfall grade. After that came the installation of the irrigation zones and natural gas firepit. Finally, we built the seating walls and installed the herb garden and landscape plants to finish off the project.

Specs:

  • Pavers: Belgard Catalina Stone in Titanium
  • Retention Wall: Belgard Easton Stone Wall Blocks in Slate
  • Firepit: Firegear Linear H Flat Burner System
  • Custom Pondless Waterfall Pump & Liner System
  • Various Sized River Rock

We would like to take the time to highlight some of the amazing projects and lawn makeovers that our extraordinary team has completed. The team always sees the projects from conception through to completion, and it shows!

This client built a brand new home in the Lugano subdivision, but felt the landscaping on the side of their home left much to be desired.
The specific wants from the client were:

  • A fruit tree for seasonal fruit
  • A focal point plant outside their window
  • Using a lot of color for curb appeal.
  • Adding Boulders into the design for some different textures

After sketching a 3D design for them to show them what it could look like with The Master's touch, they got really excited about the future of their home.

These photos are from a little over a year after the installation, and you can see that it has grown in just the way it was designed!

By Rusty,

This client had planned for years to build their dream house and wanted a space to entertain off their back porch.

The specific wants for the back of the house were:

  • Entertaining area with Gas Fire pit
  • A Mixture of boulders and pavers
  • Screening for outdoor shower
  • Area for "Stock Tank" Industrial pool
  • Keeping all entertaining areas within close proximity (Outdoor kitchen, fire pit, patio)
  • Butterfly garden to bring color and wildlife

The biggest challenge for this design was a steep slope off the back corner of the house, causing the need for a large natural retaining wall to keep the firepit area close to the outdoor kitchen.

We would like to take the time to highlight some of the amazing lawn turnarounds that our team at The Master's Lawn Care has completed. Our lawn health team can really make a difference over time!

This client recently built a home in Oakmont and was tired of seeing his lawn struggle with the poor results another lawn pest control service had gotten for him.
After a lawn consultation with our lawn health team - we started moving forward.

We drew up a plan of action that included:

  • Aeration
  • Topdressing with Comand Compost
  • Lawn Health Program
  • Proper Weekly Maintenance

We also worked with the client to give tips on improving his irrigation scheduling.

As you can see, in just 8 weeks his lawn improved tremendously!

We would like to take the time to highlight the amazing projects that the team at The Master's Lawn Care has completed. The team always sees the projects from conception to completion and it shows!

This client contacted us in hopes of diagnosing their lawn problems and wanted to see if there was anything to be done that would save it.

After an in-depth lawn analysis, we discovered active chinch bugs were not being controlled and eating away at the turf.

We then put together a lawn program that would help not only control chinch bugs actively, but preventatively going forward as well.

We put our work into:

  • Getting the irrigation schedule set properly
  • Adjusting the mowing heights
  • Strong weed control program to allow turf to fill in
  • Proper lawn and soil nutrition program to boost it's growth
  • Adjusting irrigation coverage to hit "dry spots"

We then began to rehab this lawn over the course of 18 months. With some patience and understanding of a lawn program, it ended up saving about $10k of sod work because we did not have to add any sod or sod plugs - just proper lawn health and irrigation to keep it growing.

We would like to take the time to highlight some of the amazing projects and lawn makeovers that our extraordinary team has completed. The team always sees the projects from conception through to completion, and it shows!

This client purchased a new house in the Longleaf subdivision. They wanted to create a more friendly backyard space for their dog to play in without tracking mud and dirt into the house.

How did we make such a turnaround happen?

  • We installed artificial turf
  • We installed river rock
  • We added drainage to prevent water from draining towards the house

These solutions turned their tiny dirt yard into a low maintenance, pup-friendly space that will help keep the house clean and mud-free.

Take a look at the before and after photos to know just how big of a turnaround this was. Their dog was so excited about the new play space he couldn’t wait to roll around on the new turf!
