The Challenge:

The client had just moved into a beautiful new Nocatee home but was dissatisfied with the lack of privacy in her backyard, and the lack of curb appeal in the front. She felt uncomfortable sitting on her screened patio and having coffee without being on display from every direction due to the shape and layout of her lot. The client wanted to create a sense of seclusion and intimacy in her backyard without making it feel closed in or barren with just plain privacy hedges. She also wanted a tropical theme in the front yard with some Palms added into an appealing design.

The Solution:

The team recommended creating a backyard landscape that would provide the client with the privacy she needed while also enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of her backyard. They created a mix of shrubbery, trees, and flowering perennials with curvilinear beds, which not only provided privacy but also added beauty and interest to the backyard. The use of these plants helped to screen the view from neighboring yards and created a sense of intimacy in the backyard. The landscape design was carefully planned to ensure that it did not feel closed in or barren, and it was strategically placed in the most needed spaces to provide maximum privacy.

The front yard included 2 different types of palms and some other plants specifically designed in the clients’ appeal. Overall, the team provided a complete solution that met the client's privacy and curb appeal needs while also creating a useable and enjoyable space to entertain in.
