NEWS: TMLC Leaders earn Water Star accreditation

The Master's Lawn Care is pleased to announce that two of our team leaders, Jeff Neuman and Mike McGuire, have recently achieved a new landscape industry recognition – Florida Water Star Accredited Professional. The Florida Water Star program offers professionals accreditation in Gainesville landscaping and Gainesville irrigation installation to help ensure a more sustainable environment through water conservation.

The program is offered in partnership with the Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA), which coordinates the professional training and testing. Developed by the St. Johns River Water Management District and launched in 2006, Florida Water Star encourages water efficiency in household appliances, plumbing fixtures, irrigation systems and landscapes. The voluntary certification program is available throughout Florida and is administered by the St. Johns, Southwest, and South Florida water management districts and the Florida Green Building Coalition.

The Florida Water Star accreditation program’s goal is to provide advanced education for practitioners in the landscape and irrigation fields that will result in sustainable project designs and installations. Jeff and Mike each received two different types of accreditation: Florida Water Star Accredited Irrigation Professional and Florida Water Star Accredited Landscape Professional.

Accreditation is available for sprinkler professionals, landscaping professionals, and licensed landscape architects in the areas of irrigation design and installation and landscape design and installation.For more information about Florida Water Star or the AP program, visit floridawaterstar.com.

Angi (Formerly Angie's List) Super Service Award Winners, again.

Once again, The Master's Lawn Care team was awarded the Angie’s List Super Service Award! We are super proud of this award because it is a reflection our team's mission to exceed our client's expectations. While we are definitely proud to get this award because of the relationship our team has with our clients and with Angi (Previously named Angie's List), we also are honored because less than 5% of companies that are on Angie’s List ever receives this award. Our staff has won it several years in a row, starting back in 2014.

If you see others with this award, take note. It is not easy to come by. There are a lot of users on Angie’s List now, which is good, but then it can be hard to dig through every business on there and find what you are looking for. These award winners are set apart from the rest, and we are grateful to be a part of this elite field.

Here are the requirements to be awarded the Gainesville Lawn Care and Landscape Super Service Award:

  • First of all, you have to be located in a city big enough to have enough competition where you can stand out. Our North Florida communities fall into that category.
  • You have to have a minimum number of postive reviews.
  • Maintain an ‘A’ Rating in the following areas:
    • Overall grade, averages every review (must be above a 3.5 GPA)
    • Your recent grade, which averages out a point total from all of your reviews from the last three years (also must be above 3.5 GPA)
    • Your review period grade, which averages the reviews you have received in the last quarter.

Seems a little bit like school, doesn’t it? Well, we will definitely take the “A” grade! The great thing about Angie’s List is that any business can get listed on there. It is not a paid directory. In fact, any customer can put a review on any business such as a Gainesville lawn company, mover, contractor, plumber, etc. on Angie’s List.

No Berry Left Behind

Our team had the chance to give back this past weekend at the annual Great Invader Raider Rally and we wanted to share some of our pictures. It was a great time and we love being able to give back to this community that we are part of. A great big thank you to all of the team members and their families who came out and the hard work they did helping to clean up invasive plants from community areas!
