A Complete Landscape Transformation
When the Becker family purchased their Gainesville home in October, they loved the property—but the landscape needed significant work.
Much of the existing lawn consisted of weeds, the irrigation system had broken pipes throughout the property, and the landscape lacked the plants and finished appearance the new homeowners wanted. They were also looking to improve the outdoor area behind the property's mother-in-law suite with new pavers.
Rather than addressing each issue separately, the project became an opportunity to give the property a complete landscape facelift.
Starting With the Lawn and Irrigation
A beautiful lawn needs more than new sod. It also needs an irrigation system capable of supporting it.
Before installing the new lawn, our irrigation team addressed the existing system and repaired broken pipes and other issues throughout the property. With the irrigation functioning properly, the landscape team could move forward with installing new Zoysia sod to replace areas previously dominated by weeds.
The result was an immediate transformation, creating a consistent green lawn that helped establish the foundation for the rest of the landscape.
Bringing the Landscape Design Together
With the major infrastructure addressed, our landscape team turned its attention to the plants, beds, and finishing details.
The project incorporated new plant material, mulch, and landscape enhancements designed to complement the home and create a more finished appearance throughout the property.
Because a project of this size involves several different specialties, coordination was especially important. Landscape design, irrigation, sod installation, planting, and hardscape construction each required different expertise at different stages of the project.

Creating a New Paver Space
The renovation extended beyond the lawn and landscaping.
Behind the mother-in-law suite, our hardscape team installed a new paver area to improve the outdoor space and provide another finished element to the property.
From the Zoysia lawn in the front to the pavers in the back, each piece was part of a larger plan for the property rather than an isolated improvement.
One Team, Multiple Specialties
Large landscape renovations have a lot of moving parts.

The estimated completion time for a project of this scope is typically 2–3 months. Sod, irrigation, plants, mulch, pavers, and finishing work all have to be coordinated and scheduled in the proper sequence. Taking the time to do each part correctly ultimately creates a better finished landscape.
The Finished Property
What began as a property with weeds, broken irrigation, limited landscaping, and unfinished outdoor areas became a much more complete landscape.
