*If pavers weren't a part of your new landscape design, be sure to read the main 5 tips below:
- Check shaded plants to see if they're getting too much water and full sun plants for not enough water.
- Adjust irrigation controllers and heads if needed. (click here to watch Chuck explain how to adjust your sprinkler timer)
- Decide on paver sealing if you had hardscaping done.
- If weeds are coming in, be careful with spraying weed control around new plants-but remove weeds.

If pavers are a part of your new landscape, the time is here to make a decision about protecting your pavers with sealant. We recommend waiting 45 days from the initial installation to allow additives in the pavers to purge before sealing.
Sealing your pavers is not necessary, but is beneficial for a couple of reasons:
1. Stain Protection
Sealing protects the surface from possible stains and makes them easier to clean, as the stains can't sink in. If the pavers are located in an area that may be exposed to food or drink spills , it is wise to seal!
2. Joint and Sand Stabilization
Sealant helps to stabilize the joints between the brick by acting as a “glue” to help keep sand from washing away. This also helps reduce weeds growing in the sand, too.
3. Color Fade Prevention
Sealant keeps your paver colors from fading and keeps their original colors strong. If you choose to seal your pavers, you can DIY the project or we can offer a proposal. Water and oil-based sealants are both available.
