Fire-based furnishing has become one of the hottest home accessories on the market and it is clear why. There are many fire features that you can have in your backyard. There are basic as well as upscale designs. You will even be able to increase the value of your property with the right fire pit and the right backyard landscape design. Many modern, cutting edge hardscape designs can be planned using patios, firepits, outdoor kitchens, and seating walls for your Gainesville patio pavers by TMLC.
There are fire pits, fire pots, fire bowls, fire pit burners, outdoor electric and gas fireplaces, and many other pieces that cannot quite be defined but are magnificent. Fire pits and Gainesville paver installation can even be used in combinations and with water features to create entire backyard landscapes.
Things to Consider BEFORE you Install your Firepit Placement.
This is not so much a technical issue but it can be important where you decide to place your fire pit. If it is a porch fire pit then consider building it off to the side of the porch instead of right in the center. This way you and your guests can still freely move around your patio. If you are building a large outdoor fireplace, then you want to make sure that it is built where there is plenty of room around it for heat to disperse. Make sure not to place either in areas where there are low-hanging tree branches or where brush piles up.
Material - You can build outdoor fire pits in just about any material. It is important to choose a material that can withstand the weather โ summer heat and winter cold, rain, and other inclement weather. This is important to discuss with your Gainesville Landscaping expert. TMLC highly recomends Tremron pavers and stone patios as they offer the best warrany and are made locally.
If you are going to place a portable firepit (like one from a home improvement store) on your backyard living area then consider investing in extra metal under it to protect your deck or patio. Really though, we donโt recommend putting a firepit on a wood deck at all, but occasionally we have a client who has no other choice.
Weight- This sounds simple but you must determine how much weight your patio or deck can withstand. Many outdoor fireplaces and even some fire pits are large and quite heavy. Make sure that your patio structure can handle the weight or else you will get cracks in your porch.
You also need to check your cities and HOA for fire codes. Many cities have strict codes and their requirements will determine what type of fuel you can burn in your fireplace or fire pit. They may also restrict you to use certain models that will create less air pollution.
Fire pits -These are well known fire-based pieces of furniture. They come in many designs and sometimes people choose to build these themselves. They are usually stone or concrete makes. There are more decorative designs on the market today as well including tile mosaic fire pits.
Outdoor Gas Fireplaces- These lovely structure also range in design from pretty basic to very chic. They are usually large and emit a lot of heat. These can be composed out of various materials as well but are usually similar in shape.
Fire bowls- This oneโs cheating a little bit but deserves its own category. It is more basic than many other fire designs but is basically a bowl shaped fire pit. It usually has cut patterns along with outside of the bowl which help it dispense heat.
Placement of the firepit can be on a Gaineville patio, veranda, or outdoor entertaining area as long as it isn't made of anything flamable. Here are some photos of firepits that TMLC can have installed for you:
