On January 30, FNGLA’s (Florida Nursery Growers and Landscape Association) Northeast Chapter began the first phase of a multi-phased project in partnership with the National POW/MIA Memorial & Museum project. FNGLA’s Immediate Past President Shawn Thomas (Sabal Landscape Solutions, Jacksonville) gathered multiple FNGLA resources and members to volunteer their time and donate goods to accomplish this large feat of installing a new landscape at the site, Jacksonville's former NAS Cecil Field.
Members from around Florida participated to make the project a special showcase in memory of POW/MIA (Prisoners of War / Missing in Action) at the site.
This was a huge undertaking -- and it was thrilling to see FNGLA band together for such a worthy endeavor. Job well done, all!
