Count Your Blessings - A Note From Rusty

Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year. Yes, it's even better than Christmas. Christmas stopped being fun when I started having to buy more gifts than I was given. :)  Just kidding....

On a more serious note, the main reason I love Thanksgiving is because of the main reason for the holiday: Giving thanks. It's easy to run through every day of your life focusing on the negatives, fighting with problems, and struggling to get through each week. It's easy in all of those daily struggles we face to forget how blessed as a people we really are.

Can we even begin to imagine what true problems really are? We live in a free country where we can worship, speak, vote, act, and generally do as we please. We are one of the richest countries in the world. Some of my biggest problems that I complain about on a daily basis are how much gas prices have gone up or how I need to lose weight. Can you imagine what that sounds like to someone in another country that walks everywhere they go and goes hungry on a daily basis?  I'm worried about how I'm going to say no to the food in my kitchen while this person is praising God for a spare piece of bread.

Taking the time to count my blessings like my family, my nation, my church, my home, my job, my groceries, my friends, and so on really changes how I view life on a daily basis. It really can make a bad day turn around quick when you count your blessings.

In the spirit of this season, all of us at The Master's Lawn Care just want to personally thank each of you for allowing us to serve you here with Gainesville Landscaping, Gainesville Lawn Maintenance, Gainesville Irrigation, and Gainesville Pressure Washing.

Sincerely,
